Our mechanical engineers have developed different series of CNC portal milling machines, which in their dimensions set new standards as regards cost-performance ratio, stiffness and stability. Benefit from our more than 20 years experience in machine tool building.

The PF-series:

Thanks to the direct drive via strong step motors and the play-free shaft coupling there are not any motor vibrations transferred to the trapeze thread spindles, which has a positive effect on the processing speed and on the milling picture. Only by this construction the necessary stability for milling of steel or aluminium is achieved.

Due to the use of 2 spindles in the x-axis there can not be any contouring errors or a distortion of the y-bridge during milling. Only in this way a 100% even measuring accuracy within the whole work piece is guaranteed. In interaction with our perfectly on the mechanics adjusted 2,4 ampere 1/8-micro-step control the CNC portal milling machines are absolutely reliable and step stable also with high loads.

Constructio of the z-axis

With these machines 3D milling is also possible for small money. For example three-dimensional objects are produced in a STL-format in a 3D-CAD system and afterwards they are read in the software "DeskProto". After that tool parameters, feed, strategy, preciseness etc. are defined and are shown at the end of the CNC program, which then can be worked off with "PCNC" or "Win-PCNC".

You simply produce drawings, model drafts or texts in a Vektor drawing program. As a HPGL file these can be transfered directly to the milling machine via the also delivered software "PCNC". In the software some individual adjustments can be done, as for example processing speed, scaling, milling orders, immersion depth of the single tools etc. The operation is really easy-peasy. For the operation no special CNC programming skills are needed. The machines are produced in Germany with all legally required certifications (CE proofed). Precise manufacture and high quality substances are the base of the robust and compact design. The components are completely from famous manufacturers as Star, SKF, ISEL or IGUS.

The precision trapeze spindles according to DIN 1037E used by us have a preciseness from 0,05 mm on 300 mm, consequently about 0,016 mm on 100 mm. The existing turnaround play in a trapeze nut to a spindle with our machines is less than 0,03 mm. In the program "PCNC" software-technically this can be adjusted to zero. Therefore we have paid special attention to the storage of the threaded spindles. On both sides these are stored in X- and Y- direction to the pre-tensioned grooved ball bearings, so that no energies can be transfered to the motor bearings, what is really unusual in this price range.

The drive of all axis is carried out by powerful 2-phases branded stairwalkers. Ball beared trapeze spindles TR 16x4 with ROTGUSS screw nuts for the movement in all three axis provide a precise course. The leading is realized by maintenance-free and high-strength Sinter sliding bearings. Main characteristics of the linear sliding bearings are maintenance freeness, small wear and a low friction value. The machine slides are led in all three axis on high-precise 62 Rockwell hardened and grinded linear guidings with a diameter of 20 mm (Z-axis 16 mm), what, as regards the end result, leads to a high torsion stiffness and allows milling works in steel and aluminium. Each of our machines is equipped with energy chains for a better cable guiding in all axis.

With large traverse paths and a passage height of 130 mm, a repeating accuracy of 0,025 mm and a maximum positioning and working speed of 2000 mm/min our machines are nearly well-suitable for all milling and engraving works in steel, aluminium or brass. Naturally our CNC machines can also be used without any problems for platine and isolation milling or even for film cutting. Consequently the BZT CNC portal milling machines beat the pants off many considerably more expensive machines of our competitors as regards stiffness, processing and thus long-lasting precision

Only by this construction you will get the necessary stability for milling steel or aluminium.

In interaction with our perfectly on the mechanics adjusted servo- or 6 ampere 1/8-micro-step controlling the PFX portal milling machines are absolutely reliable and step stable, also with high stress.

The precision ball bearing spindles according to DIN 69051 are inductively hardened (HRC 60+/- 2), part 3, tolerance class 7. Therefore we have paid special attention to the storage of the threaded spindles. On both sides these are stored in X- and Y- direction to the pre-tensioned angular ball bearings, so that no energies can be transfered to the motor bearings, what is really unusual in this price range.

The leading is realized by maintenance-free and high-strength linear anti-friction bearings. Main characteristics of the linear anti-friction bearings are maintenance freeness, small wear and a low friction value. The machine slides are led in all three axis on high-precise 62 Rockwell hardened and grinded linear anti-friction bearings with a size of 25 mm, what, as regards the end result, leads to a high torsion stiffness and allows milling works in steel and aluminium.

Each of our machines is equipped with energy chains for a better cable leading in all axis. With wide traverse paths and an admission heigth of 250 mm, a repetition preciseness of 0,01 mm and a maximum positioning and working speed of 12 metres/min (servo 40 metres/min) they are really suitable for all milling and engraving works in steel, aluminium or brass. Naturally our CNC machines can also be used for blank and isolation milling. As regards stiffness, manufacture and long-lasting precision the BZT CNC portal milling machines beat the pants off really more expensive machines.
